The company’s ownership structure includes three shareholder groups—Girão; Antunes and Schmidt; and Arlon—alongside a minority investment by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Alvoar’s Board of Directors has six members with complementary experience and strategic perspectives.
Luiz Aere
Chair of the Board
Luiz Aere is Chair of Alvoar’s Board and brings extensive international experience in strategy, finance and corporate leadership. In more than 25 years in senior positions, he has worked at global companies including Continental Grain Company and Ambev/AB InBev, serving as CEO of Expansion Countries & Travel Retail, Chief Commercial Zone Europe, and Global Vice President of Revenue and Business Intelligence. He is Managing Director of Arlon Brasil and an Operating Partner at Continental in New York. He also advises Grano and Sotran in Brazil, Baja Aqua in Mexico, and Advantage Solutions in the United States. Luiz lived outside Brazil for 20 years, working in the United States, Belgium and the Dominican Republic. At Alvoar, he coordinates the Strategy & Finance and Audit Committees and contributes to long-term strategy, expansion, resource allocation and governance.
Grazielle Parenti
Board member; Risk & ESG Committee chair
Grazielle helps integrate sustainability into Alvoar’s business strategy. She is Vice President of Sustainability and Institutional Relations at Syngenta and its Global Head of Value Chains, as well as Vice President of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (ABAG). Over 30 years in institutional relations and sustainability, she has held leadership roles at BRF, the Brazilian Food Industry Association (ABIA), and government and business councils. She was recognized for five consecutive years as one of the sector’s most admired professionals and has appeared on Bloomberg’s “500 Latin American Leaders” and Forbes’ “Powerful Women in Agribusiness” lists.
Alexandre Almeida
Board member; Operations Committee chair
Alexandre has more than 30 years of leadership experience in finance, operations, commercial management and administration at Brazilian and multinational food and consumer-goods companies. He is CEO of Prima Foods S.A. His previous roles include CEO of Itambé Alimentos, Executive Director of Processed Foods at JBS, Vice President of BRF Brasil, President for South America and CFO at Novelis, and COO and CFO at Líder Aviação. A metallurgical engineer, he holds a master’s degree in computational mathematics, postgraduate studies in financial administration and a specialization in business management. He coordinates Alvoar’s Operations Committee.
Andrea Chamma
Board member; Strategy & Finance Committee
Andrea holds a business administration degree from FGV and has completed executive education at Harvard, Columbia, MIT and Singularity. In more than 30 years in Brazilian and international finance, she served as Vice Chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and director of equity sales, and held leadership roles at Citibank, ING and ABN. She took part in more than 150 capital-market transactions. Andrea founded 3C Advisors, serves on boards in several industries, supports social, educational and diversity causes, and participates in the diversity group of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC).
Patricia Alvarenga
Board member; Risk & ESG Committee
Patricia is a lawyer and accounting graduate and a partner in Corporate/M&A at Madrona Advogados, a firm recognized by international Chambers rankings. In more than 15 years of experience, she has structured and negotiated acquisitions, share sales, joint ventures and asset transactions. She also advises on governance and compliance rules, with a focus on corporate and regulatory matters involving Brazil’s securities regulator, the CVM.
Fued Sadala
Board member; People & Management Committee chair
Fued focuses on operations, remuneration, people and management. He also sits on the boards of IMC Restaurantes, Supermix and Misfits, and founded solar-energy company Capsol and Brazilian trading company Desh. He spent 23 years at ABI/Ambev, beginning as a trainee and later holding senior roles in industrial operations, technology and shared services at global and regional levels across Europe and North, Central and South America. He led major transformations, including mergers and acquisitions, and is recognized for continuous reinvention and learning. At Alvoar, he coordinates the People & Management Committee, which guides culture and development in line with sustainable growth.
Bruno Girão
CEO
Bruno graduated in business administration from Northeastern University in the United States and holds specializations in administration and business law. As Alvoar’s CEO, he believes business has the power to reduce regional inequality. He is an active YPO member and a board adviser to the Jacques Klein Music Institute, bringing a strategic leadership style focused on people, innovation and social impact.
André Antunes
Commercial Vice President
André holds a business administration degree from PUC-Rio and an MBA in business management from Fundação Dom Cabral. He began as an export assistant at Embaré Indústrias Alimentícias from 1997 to 2000, then worked at CSN as a trainee and financial analyst. He joined Alvoar’s predecessor business in 2003 and has built a long career with the company, becoming Commercial Vice President.
Conci Lima
Executive Director, People and Performance
Conci has more than 30 years of human-resources experience in the chemical, textile, advertising and food-retail sectors. At Alvoar she leads HR, ESG, health and safety, with a focus on performance, sustainability and leadership development. An educator with specializations in people management and entrepreneurial management, she is passionate about developing talent and strengthening organizational culture.
Vinícius Resende
Executive Industrial Director
Vinícius earned a control and automation engineering degree from PUC Minas, an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and executive training through Fundação Dom Cabral. He began as an automation analyst at Ma Sistemas and an automation engineer at Alfa Engenharia. He joined Embaré, now part of Alvoar, in 2004 and has spent more than 20 years in field engineering, maintenance management, industrial management and industrial executive leadership.
Cynthia Serretti
Executive Marketing Director
Cynthia has extensive marketing experience in retail and consumer markets, working for Brazilian and multinational companies. She has led branding, digital, innovation and trade-marketing initiatives. Her work focuses on results, agility, efficient use of resources and team development, and includes restructuring, product launches and multichannel strategies.
Armindo Neto
Executive Director, Milk Sourcing
With more than 25 years in dairy, Armindo works in Brazil’s main milk-producing regions. He leads operations focused on quality, collection logistics, producer relationships and support for production. He has extensive experience in team management, spot-market negotiation and technical projects that improve raw-material quality.
Luciano Alves
Executive Logistics Director
Luciano has more than 23 years of experience at major companies including Ambev, Femsa Coca-Cola and AGV Logística. INBRASC recognized him as the best supply director in Brazil’s consumer-goods industry in 2016. An engineer with an MBA from IESE Business School, he has extensive experience in innovation, planning and logistics leadership in Brazil and abroad.
Ricardo Fernandes
Executive Director, IT, Shared Services and Administration
Ricardo has held senior roles including CEO, CFO and controller. His experience includes Alcoa, Ferrovia Transnordestina and Alvoar Lácteos, with responsibilities in finance, strategic planning, audit, stakeholder relations and corporate governance. He also has extensive experience in M&A and in managing large industrial and logistics operations.
Arinilo Macena
Executive Director, Special and Strategic Projects
An accounting graduate with specializations in production, logistics, business law and management, Arinilo has worked across finance, controllership, information and communications technology, people development and operations. His experience includes industrial and logistics projects in dairy and implementing management models, operational planning, transport management and milk collection.
Marcos Arruda
Executive Finance Director
Marcos has more than 10 years of C-level leadership experience across energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, agribusiness and food. He has expertise in strategic planning, M&A, capital markets, restructuring and governance. He leads ESG, compliance and multidisciplinary-team development initiatives and speaks English and Spanish.
